Civic Duty Fail

May 19, 2009

Constitutional state and its dictating entitlements vs. the free man without protective authority? It’s a hopeless moot point yet still provokes continuous civil commotion; I wouldn’t say rightly so, but certainly controversially so. And Big Brother is not amused by rebellion – not even in the New (and improved? ha!) World. The US legal system always had an air of extra arbitrariness to me; I wonder what they did with this particularly offensive-to-our-homeland Request for Excuse from Jury Service:

“Apparently you morons didn’t understand me the first time. I CANNOT take time off from work. I’m not putting my familys wellbeing at stake to participate in this crap. I don’t believe in our “justice” system and I don’t want to have a goddamn thing to do with it. Jury duty is a complete waste of time. I would rather count the wrinkles on my dogs balls than sit on a jury. Get it through your thick skulls. Leave me the f–k alone.”

Why so angry, citizen? It’s give-and-take. At least we’re getting some aberration of an honest trial in return…for us decent folks may live on in peace and quiet. (The poor guy and all the unfortunate people he knew will be on the independent-thought blacklist to ensure your future safety😀.) Worry not, there is no need not to be happily ordinary and serve your community. One for all, and, if you get extremely lucky one day, it’s even all for one. Or not. (How many times did we tell you unpaid taxes are bad karma? Don’t come whining!)
